The app you need in awkward situations

The app you need in awkward situations

Getting out of an awkward situation used to mean secret hand signals or pretending that your phone is ringing. But with this new app, you can get you a fake phone call with just a fidget.

Tickle is an app designed to get you out of bad dates or an awkward situation. It uses an iPhone's accelerometer to pick up movement and will generate a phone call. Tickle even customizes the caller ID of your "emergency."

But you don't have to pitch your phone across the room to get the phone call. You can scratch or tickle the back of the iPhone or shake and fidget with the phone to activate the app.

Unfortunately, the developers say that Tickle is still in private beta. You can join the waiting list to be notified when the app launches on the iTunes app store.
