Facebook is finally cracking down on controversial ads

Facebook is usually in trouble for one thing or another. But today, Facebook seems to have done something right.

Facebook has announced that it is cracking down on age restrictions for posts and pages relating to private sales of controversial items like firearms, alcohol and adult products.

The main emphasis is on keeping guns and gun-related posts and pages away from kids. There is also new policy language that will send educational messages about gun control laws to those who are looking for guns or promoting the sale of them.

Facebook will also be deleting posts that advertise the sale of illegal weapons or offering the sale of weapons without a background check.
