Who doesn’t like getting a new smartphone? I bet many of you have been anxiously waiting for the new iPhone 8. Finally, Apple unveils the new phone but also debuts the iPhone 8 Plus and its new ultra-premium phone, the new iPhone X.

The one thing that might be holding many of you back from upgrading to a new phone is the time it takes to go into a store and make the trade. Apple is making that easy for you.

iPhone mail-in details

The company’s adding a mail-in option available to anyone taking advantage of their iPhone Upgrade Program. Now, you have no excuse to get rid of your old phone. Getting a new one shipped to your door is also free!

If you decide to have your new iPhone mailed to you, Apple will send you a pre-paid shipping label so you can return your outdated phone.

You can upgrade online or with the Apple Store app. The app is actually the faster way to go. However, if you’re upgrading with T-Mobile, you’ll still need to go to the store.

I’m sure many of you are thinking, ‘What a relief!’ because before this iPhone Upgrade Program was introduced, you had to schedule an appointment at an Apple store in order to get the latest model. Many times, the store would run out of stock before a customer could even get to the store.

Since the program was introduced in 2015, customers have been able to buy the latest iPhone each year directly through Apple without going through a carrier.

By the way, this year marks the 10th anniversary of the iPhone.
