Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus photos leaked

You probably remember how big of a nightmare the Galaxy Note 7 smartphone turned out to be for Samsung. The company recently confirmed that the exploding phone issues were caused by battery problems.

Samsung is hoping to move beyond that fiasco and come up with another smash-hit gadget. Enter the Galaxy Note 8. Speculation about the new phone is fast and furious and we have leaked photos that will show you what it will look like.

Possible Galaxy S8 features

One of the most shocking rumors about the Galaxy S8 is the price tag. We recently told you that the S8 and S8 Plus will be priced starting at $950 and $1,050, which would be close to what Apple is expected to charge for the upcoming iPhone. Yikes!

Another rumor is that Samsung will be ditching the Home button. This seems to be confirmed in the leaked photo, as you can see the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus have a soft Home button.

The photo also confirms screen sizes. The S8 will have a 5.8-inch screen, while the S8 Plus will be 6.2 inches.

Reputable leaker, Evan Blass, sent a Tweet this week listing specs for the S8 Plus:

  • 4G LTE Capability
  • 6.2″ (full rectangle)/6.1″ (rounded corners) Quad HD+ Super AMOLED Display
  • 12MP Dual Pixel Main Camera
  • 8MP Front Facing Camera

  • 64GB Memory with Support for External microSD Card
  • 4GB RAM
  • Samsung Pay
  • Wireless Charging (Charging Pad Required, sold separately)

Samsung is expected to unveil both Galaxy models at the end of March. The phones will be available for purchase in Korea on April 21. We don’t have a global launch date as of yet.
