These Super Bowl 51 predictions will shock you

Can you feel the excitement in the air? Football fans are abuzz knowing that the biggest game of the year is almost ready for kickoff. The Atlanta Falcons will take on the New England Patriots this Sunday in Super Bowl 51.

In addition to the regular broadcast on Fox, this year you can watch the game online for free. And if Madden 17 is correct, we are in for a tremendous game.

EA Sports, the creator of the Madden NFL video game, runs a simulation every year prior to the Super Bowl to predict the outcome. This tradition began in 2004.

Last year, the video game was wrong with its big game prognostication. Madden 16 simulated the Carolina Panthers would top the Denver Broncos with a final score of 24-20. In actuality, Denver won by the score of 24-10.

However, the last time New England played in the Super Bowl, the simulation was spot on with its prediction. It said New England would beat the Seattle Seahawks by a score of 28-24, and that’s exactly what happened.

Madden 17’s Super Bowl 51 prediction

The simulation by EA Sports for Super Bowl 51 has New England beating Atlanta 27-24. Not only that, it has the Patriots scoring in the last few seconds of the 4th quarter to pull out a thrilling come-from-behind victory. We can only dream of such a climactic finish.

Tom Brady closes out an impressive drive with a game-winning touchdown pass to Julian Edelman. Brady wins his fifth Super Bowl, giving him the most of any NFL quarterback in history.

What does Siri know about the Super Bowl?

Madden 17 isn’t the only piece of tech getting in on the action. Siri is even getting involved.

If you use Apple’s Siri, you would expect the digital assistant to know rudimentary information about the Super Bowl. Things like, what time does the game start? What will the weather be like in Houston on Sunday?

You might be surprised to find out how much knowledge Siri actually has. Apple has given her the ability to answer more in-depth Super Bowl questions.

Siri can now tell you things such as how to get to the nearest sports bar and book you a post game ride. When you ask her who will win the big game, instead of making a prediction, Siri tells you what the Las Vegas odds are. “The odds favor the Patriots over the Falcons by 3 points.”

No matter who you are rooting for, it looks like we’re in for an amazing finale to the NFL season. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. EST, 3:30 PST on Sunday.
