Get most accurate source of hyperlocal weather information

If only we could control the weather, life would be much, much easier. Until then, we will have to settle for trying to predict it.As we have come to better understand our environment and welcomed technological advancements, that process has been made much easier and more accurate. Everyone has their preferences of who or what to turn to when needing a weather report, but for the most part, all are pretty solid. Most smartphones even come with weather apps, meaning you do not have to try too hard when it comes to tracking down the forecast. But as always a little effort can go a long way, which is why it’s not a bad idea to see what else is out there.

Like, for instance, Dark Sky

Available for both iOS and Android, Dark Sky is an incredibly accurate source of hyperlocal weather information. Using state-of-the-art technology it can predict when it will rain or snow, down to the minute, at your exact location. And when they say your exact location, they mean it. Not your state, not your city, not your county — but actually right where you are standing. The information you get for your spot will be detailed, either for the immediate future or what is coming a bit further down the road. The information can be presented to you in a variety of ways, with notifications set to your own preferences. Want to know when it is about to snow? You can. Looking for a daily summary forecast? You can have that, too.Of course, while data is great, it can be really unappealing to look at. Dark Sky’s maps are not, especially as you can pull storms back and forth through time, including the future, to see what weather has or will look like.Dark Sky will also work on an Apple Watch, but whatever device you use it on, you’ll never have to wonder about the weather again. It costs $3.99 for iOS, while there is a free version for Android (along with a premium version for $2.99).
