If you’re like most people, exploring the world is probably on your bucket list. Visiting the Wonders of the World, checking out as many beautiful beaches as possible, and seeing the Northern Lights are a few things on my to-do list. What’s on yours? However, traveling the globe is expensive and takes time. If you’re not in a position to check everything off your list quite yet, don’t worry. Technology to the rescue! You can start your journey with the popular tool, Google Earth. People love it because it gives them a new perspective of the world by exploring the globe with a simple swipe of the finger. You can fly through landmarks and cities like Paris, Tokyo and Barcelona in spectacular 3-D, then dive in to experience them first hand with Street View. You’ll see the world from a new point a view with Voyager, which brings you one-of-a-kind experiences from Sesame Street, BBC Earth, NASA and more. Now, Google is adding another feature that makes the tool even better. I’m talking about Google Earth’s new Measure feature.Have you ever wondered how far your hometown is from the North Pole? Or maybe, you just want to find out the distance of your latest hike.Either way, Measures can answer those questions for you. One of the most requested features for Google Earth by its users is the ability to measure distance and areas. Now, you can.The new Measure Tool is available on Google Maps immediately on Chrome and Android and will be coming soon to iOS.
