If you have a creative streak, you're in luck. If you like to paint or draw, or think you might want to give it a whirl, Microsoft's Fresh Paint is a really fun way to mess around with paints, pens and pencils.
You can create high-quality fine art on your computer or touch screen that you can print out, and sell. You can use it just to have some fun, or you can teach your children or grandkids how to paint, draw or color.
It's easy to use, and to get started. First, choose your medium, like oil paint, watercolor or pencil. You can paint freehand, select paint-by-number-style images, coloring books or import photos to paint over.
Once you select your medium and image, being artistic with Fresh Paint is just like being artistic in real life. You can draw or paint freehand, on your screen. For instance, mix paint colors on a palette with your brush, then apply them to your canvas, or paper.
If you want to load your paint on thick and heavy, you can do that by going back and forth over one spot. Or if you want to use a light touch, say with watercolors, you can gently glide over your screen for that effect.
Note: If you have used Fresh Paint before, Microsoft has released a new version specifically for Windows 10.
