We're all inundated day and night with messages, whether it's the ding of a text message, a ringing phone or email alerts from our business and personal accounts. It can get a bit overwhelming, but there is a nifty solution, at least when it comes to managing your email accounts.
It's an easy-to-use email notifier called POP Peeper that's free, with optional upgrades for a fee. The free version pulls in multiple email accounts such as Gmail, Live Mail, Outlook.com, Yahoo Mail and many others into one email notification system.
Once installed, POP Peeper works like your basic email program. It alerts you with a "ding" and a small icon on your computer's taskbar whenever you receive emails. It's not visually stunning, but it has all the basics you'd expect from an email.
POP Peeper opens up in a blue-and-gray box with function buttons such as "Check Mail" and "Compose." You can add and save frequently used email addresses, and there's extra security available with an optional password. You can also give email accounts their own colors so you can scan through emails for the ones most important to you.
