You know your kids or grandchildren will start counting down the days to Christmas soon, if they haven't already. Each night, you'll hear something like, "How many more days until Christmas?"
You can help make their next few weeks a lot more fun with a Santa Tracker. For the past several years, it's been easy to go online, to keep tabs on where Santa Claus and his elves are, and what they're up to.
One of those sites is from Google, which has gone live with its annual Google Santa Tracker. In the final hours leading up to Christmas morning, your kids and you will be able to see where Santa Claus and his reindeer are, and how long it'll be before he arrives at your house.
But, in the meantime, Google has made its Santa Tracker a lot of fun. For you, that includes making a donation to a worthwhile charity like the Jane Goodall Institute, the Nature Conservancy and others.
Click on the Season of Giving tab. That takes you to a page where your kids can play with a virtual coloring book, and you can link to any charity you want to learn more about. (Google is also matching donations to the crowdfunding site DonorsChoose, to raise up to $1 million for teachers; there's a link at the bottom of Google Santa Tracker's homepage.)
