Are you looking for a new pet, apartment or job? What about a new piece of furniture, a car, or even concert tickets? Or are you looking to sell your old bike, or get rid of baby clothes that your child quickly grew out of? Or maybe you're looking to hire a maid or a pet sitter for the weekend.
There's one site online that's got everything you need when it comes to buying and selling goods and services online. It's called Craigslist, and I'm willing to bet that you've heard of it before. It's the go-to place for online local classifieds.
On Craigslist, you can find or post ads for just about anything, mostly for free. (A nominal fee is required for job or apartment listings.) People list a lot of great items for cheap, along with some pretty entertaining and out-there items like this ad for a ghost town or this ad for a vehicle for the apocalypse.
First, if you've never been to Craigslist before, you'll have to select your city. Then you'll have everything in your area available at your fingertips. Next, you can check out the "for sale" section to see everything available to buy, look for your next job under "jobs" section, or find a gig under the "gigs" section.
And under the "for sale" section, don't be afraid to check out the free section, either. Many people are giving away great furniture or used electronics.
There's also "discussion forums", a "personals" section, and a "community" section where you can join a local group, learn about local activities and see event announcements, get a new pet, or even find a volunteer opportunity.
