The image above (Silhouettes by Mark Gee) was the winner of the “People and Space” category in the Royal Observatory Greenwich’s Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2013 exhibition. It shows just how massive the moon is in comparison to us.

The image below is called "Wispy, Warped Tail of Comet Lovejoy" and it was taken by Rolando Ligustri. It shows Comet Lovejoy zooming past the Phi Persei, which is a star and the Little Dumbbell Nebula.
