Maintaining your health has never been easier than it is today. With all of the advances in technology, the medical field has been transformed and things are possible now that would have seemed far-fetched 10 years ago.
Still, the changing times have also brought new challenges. Our lives are constantly bustling, we're running from one task to the next, trying to keep up with everything.
Time, or lack thereof, is now one of the biggest obstacles we face when it comes to maintaining our health. There's no time for the gym, no time for the dentist, no time for that checkup.
We've already told you about a few resources that can help with this problem. Opternative, for example, is a website that lets you take eye exams online. You can also check your risk for heart disease and monitor your blood pressure with online health exams. Click here to learn more about these helpful checkups and three other exams you can take online.
Now making things even easier is a site called Hearing Test Online. This site does exactly what its name implies: Checks your hearing and helps you identify potential problems.
The site is free. You can run the test whenever you'd like to monitor changes in your hearing.
To begin, first you'll need to calibrate the sound levels. Plug in your headphones and listen to the calibration audio file. After a few more sound checks you'll be ready to play through the test files.
After you've completed the exercises, you can review your audiogram. The audiogram is essentially a record of how you did on your hearing test. It outlines what frequencies you had trouble hearing, as well as volumes.
Share the results of the audiogram with your doctor if you have any questions, or are worried you may have a hearing problem.
