Fix online shopping's biggest flaw

Fix online shopping's biggest flaw

Shopping online is a great and convenient way to find items you might never see in stores, but when it comes to ordering clothes, there are a few problems, mainly not being able to try on them on before you buy. Sizes vary by store, and what looks good on the rack doesn't necessarily mean that it will look good on you.

Luckily, there's an online tool that can help you determine your true size and your size at a handful of different stores ranging from Forever 21 and H&M to Nike, Old Navy and Target.

To get started, simply head to the Fitbay - Find Your Size site. Next, select the brand, your gender, then select category of clothing you want to be fitted for. Here, you will be asked to take a quick body type quiz, where you will enter information like your body type, height, weight and your age.

Once all that information is entered, Fitbay will tell you what size people with bodies similar to you wear, in that brand. It will also show you selfies other Fitbay users have taken who have similar body types, so you can get an idea of how the garment you want to buy will look on you.

Keep in mind that this isn't exactly the most foolproof way to buy clothes. There's still a chance there's a mismatch, and it's not as good as trying on the real thing, but if you're trying to guess a size for a holiday gift, or want a general idea of what size might be best, this is the site for you.
