Have you ever found that perfect phrase online? Maybe you're working on a project and something jumps out that gives you an idea. Maybe you found a great quote on Pinterest. Those words trigger something in your mind, but you can't copy them because the text is part of an image.

It's always annoying when that happens. No one wants to retype text word for word. Especially now, when it seems like there should be an easier way.

Actually, there is. Img2txt.com is a website that scans your image and uses optical recognition technology to send you the text. And the best part is it's free.

Here's how it works:

Image to Text2

  1. Start by choosing the image you'd like scanned.
  2. Next, go to img2txt.com and upload that image.
  3. Select the language of text on the image and press "Begin recognition."
  4. After a few seconds, your results will generate.

Is it perfect? Not exactly. But considering it only includes a few minor errors, using the software is a good place to start.
