So you remember the Spirograph? It was a cool toy introduced in 1965 (and reintroduced in 2013) that uses gear-like rings with holes for pens or pencils to make neat geometric designs like the one above.
Of course, the Internet likes nostalgic toys, especially the type you can easily recreate with mathematical formulas. An engineer in Des Moines, Iowa, created a fun online Spirograph simulator called Inspirograph.
The site couldn't be easier to use - you learn, or experiment, simply by playing with different gear sizes and pen holes. Then you can download a .JPG of your design or share it with others who've created their own. There's even a gallery of other Inspirograph creations.
