Want to go on a road trip but your budget won't allow it? You don't want to put miles on your car, gas is so expensive these days and rental cars, especially on a holiday weekend, can cost you an arm and a leg. What was supposed to be a quick trip to Vegas can easily cost you a small fortune in more ways than one.
But what if I told you there's a way you can get a free rental car? Rental car companies are constantly moving their cars back and forth between their different branches and it costs them money to have them shipped from one location to another.
Instead of spending money, rental car companies would rather save and pass along a special offer to you. They do this by offering certain vehicles, free of charge, to anyone willing to drive them to their destination. They save on shipping costs, you save on a vehicle. It's a win-win.
For example, here in Phoenix, I can go to the airport and pick up an RV and will have two days to drive it to San Diego, between September 8 and September 15. All for free! Sounds like a good deal to me.
Some cars include fuel costs, other cars might end up costing a few dollars a day, and others may include the insurance. Destinations vary and are changing every week, so you can take a random trip, or you can wait until you find a location you really want to visit.
Even if you have to worry about how you will get home, at least you'll get a free ride, one-way. Or, you can plan ahead and drive another rental vehicle back home.
