Kim's Take: Texts are forever

Let’s start the week with the Jeff Bezos divorce: A tale of caution for everyone.

When it comes to their personal lives, multibillionaires aren’t that much different from everyday people. Consider Jeff Bezos.

As the founder of Amazon, he’s worth, at least today, $140 billion. So, after 25 years, he’s leaving his wife Mackenzie for the former "Good Morning LA" television host Lauren Sanchez. By the way, she's the current wife of the powerful William Morris Hollywood agent Patrick Whitesell.

It was apparently “Sanchez the Girlfriend” who needed to brag and leaked the story by forwarding her personal texts from Bezos to a close personal friend, who naturally forwarded everything to The National Enquirer.

And yes, apparently, Bezos sent pics of his private parts. Proving that marriages may last only a few years. But texts are forever.

Listen to Consumer Tech Update on the Bezos divorce.
