The Kim Komando Show is seeking an experienced, in-house Ruby on Rails developer to work on multiple online projects.
This position involves authoring, customizing, augmenting, and maintaining the in-house platforms and applications. Additionally, you will write and test custom Ruby code for a variety of other functions.
The ideal candidate requires experience in the entire software development lifecycle, including: requirements, design, development, testing and deployment. The qualified candidate for this position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
This position is full time, located in our Phoenix, Arizona studios with hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. We offer a fun, friendly environment with full benefits and a competitive salary.
Thorough knowledge of and competency with Ruby1.8.7-Ruby2.1/Rails1.0-Rails4.2
Thorough knowledge of and competency with MySQL5.6 & Postgres 8.3-9.2
Proficiency using git
Proficiency using Linux operating systems and ssh
2 years of experience on commercial or open-source projects
Follows directions in a competent and timely manner
Bring your own suggestions and ideas to every project
Good To Have ;-)
Familiarity with Rubymine
Knowledge of modern and retro video games, anime, comics, Doctor Who, Star Wars, Star Trek, Firefly or similar
