Product Marketing Manager

We are seeking an experienced, in-house Product Marketing Manager to join our team.

They’re consumers and small-business owners. They act and react. You’ll be able to contribute right off the bat – that’s how fast we move.

You will be responsible for building the sales strategies behind our eBooks, subscription-based Alexa skill, Amazon Influencer storefront, Facebook fan subscriptions, and our own ad-free, membership-based social community.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Work closely with the digital marketing team, including graphic design, editorial and web development, and report to the VP of Corporate Marketing
  • Monitor our membership-based social community’s engagement and web performance daily
  • Develop new ways to increase our membership base
  • Ensure the membership platform is up to date and functioning properly
  • Strategize and plan new marketing campaigns and initiatives for all products, and collaborate with the editorial and marketing teams to deploy them
  • Setting proper success metrics, conduct A/B testing, and track in a way to maintain accountability
  • Use Google Analytics, PMPro, Stripe and QuickBooks to report on KPIs, revenue, loss and areas of improvement, and regularly monitor the accuracy of these reports
  • Develop a strategy for sales and delivery of premium content through Facebook subscriptions
  • Add all sales transactions in QuickBooks and create deposits, record payments, and monitor P&L for accuracy
  • Maintain positive vendor relationships, including negotiating terms and troubleshooting issues with vendors such as Stripe, Worldpay, PMPro, Google, Amazon, and third-party developers
  • Manage the development of high-performing digital creative assets and landing pages, and enable media tracking to ensure customer attribution
  • Identify opportunities to optimize the website and find new ways to increase revenue
  • Track weekly and monthly performance from all campaigns and present results to VP of Corporate Marketing and CEO
  • Ensure products are promoted through all marketing channels, including digital ads, paid ads, retargeting, social media and email newsletters
  • Develop paid advertising campaigns, PPC campaigns, Facebook ads and search ads to increase sales, then continually monitor the success of campaigns and optimize performance accordingly
  • Develop a revenue plan for our Amazon Influencer storefront, as well as keep the storefront up to date with new, emerging and relevant categories
  • Develop a marketing plan to sell our Alexa skill, and ensure it’s up to date and working properly
  • Maintain our eBook marketing strategy and develop ways to increase sales
  • Identify new book topics, use Kindle Create to turn new eBooks into Kindle eBooks, and list eBooks on Kindle Direct Publisher
  • Perform a complete audience, creative and tactical analysis to identify optimization opportunities
  • Oversee customer service efforts
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and requirements

  • Web analytics experience a must
  • Experience managing and developing online revenue channels
  • Google Ad Manager experience (previously DFP)
  • Experience with publisher advertising network programs
  • SEO measurable experience
  • PPC experience
  • Facebook and other social ads experience
  • Google Search and PPC experience
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills to drive actions

Education and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in marketing or communications
  • Minimum of five (5) years of digital experience
  • Proven track record of generating online revenue
  • Strong knowledge of email, the internet and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the Google equivalents (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
