WestStar Multimedia Entertainment is a national broadcasting company that is home to The Kim Komando Show. The Kim Komando Show for radio is syndicated and broadcast nationally, distributed via satellite to more than 400 top radio stations with 6.5 million weekly listeners.
Kim was the first national female talk host to discuss consumer electronics since 1995. The program originates at WestStar’s at the 24,000 sq. ft. broadcast center in central Phoenix. Over the past 6 years, WestStar has experimented with a television version of this successful radio program.
Beginning late August 2018, The Kim Komando Show will premier on Bloomberg Television on a custom designed set at WestStar’s production facility (custom set an created by Chris Runnels. Lighting designed by Justin Garonne, both of Innovative Show Design).
The program is shot as an 11-camera HD production (recorded with 8 cameras in isolation for precise production/editing). Much of the new program will consist of original content interlaced with some segments of the radio program.
We are seeking an experienced Showrunner/Producer (who will share creative control with the program’s Executive Producer) to manage the production, together with a team of 4 video editors to quickly turn the production around for broadcast within 20 hours of the original production.
Our successful candidate will have much experience in overseeing complex editing procedures to produce a seamless finished program product. Excellent writing skills are a valuable plus. This position will grow into planned daily but unrelated national syndicated television primetime access program.

What You'll Do
Oversee editorial video production strategy and operations for the above and other shows and program including sourced footage content.
Oversee production on a weekly, fast paced program around the biggest topics in tech news
Write topical scripts with quick turnarounds and produce viral news content
Manage a creative team including writers, video editor and hosts and give constant feedback on pitches, scripts and videos.
Who You Are
An avid consumer of cable news, business news, entertainment programming and current events
Highly experienced with 7+ years of content and editorial video production experience in commercial broadcast television on the network or large market level.
Large market to network (or national program syndication) experience working as a writer/producer. Documentary experience is a valuable plus.
Digital platform experience is a valuable plus.
Demonstrable and show a meaningful experience in building national programming.
Demonstrable knowledge of current events, technology news and trending topics.
Ability to achieve metric goals & meet deadlines while working under pressure in news/entertainment environment with tight deadlines.
Demonstrable and meaningful track record in leadership and staff management.
Desire to find creative solutions to challenges.
Strong problem solving skills and creative development competency & ability to conceptualize ideas.
Bachelor's degree in broadcasting, communications, business or related field.
