This is a dream job for anyone who loves the news vibe, but is tired of covering shootings and car chases or working weekends, major holidays and overnights!
The ideal candidate will have:
Creative writing skills to write headlines, tech news stories, videos and social posts (think NY Post not NY Times)
Experience writing and editing long-form stories (e.g. podcasts, articles, reports, ebooks) on a wide variety of technology topics
Experience producing video for multiple social platforms
Fluency with Final cut pro, iMovie, Photoshop
Experience conducting interviews and research to support most projects
Experience researching, brainstorming and developing pitches for content ideas and programs across multiple formats
Ability to collaborate with graphic designers to enhance story visuals
Great on air presence for Facebook live hits and web videos
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where quick turn-around times are expected
Social media experience including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and LinkedIN
Must have a demo reel and writing samples
At least two years working in a radio or television newsroom
Bachelor’s degree in journalism preferred
Also must have an impeccable work ethic and be willing to work outside your job description to help the team succeed
