We are seeking an experienced, in-house Email Marketing Specialist to join our team. We send out a large number of daily emails to more than 12 million weekly subscribers. Our audience spans the globe! They are consumers and small business owners. They act and react. You will be able to contribute right off the bat. That's how fast we move around here.
As an Email Marketing Specialist you will be our key person in charge of implementing email marketing best practices, creating compelling subject lines and incorporating newsletter new mobile optimized designs. You will work in the Marketing department and collaborating with Editorial and Sales on a regular basis.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify opportunities to optimize existing newsletters
Analyze reports weekly to identify opportunities for best practices
Work with in-house web developer to optimize the newsletter designs
Help proof newsletter tests and catch mistakes and broken links
Own and administer daily, weekly and monthly calendar of promotional campaigns across newsletters
Assist as needed in writing and optimizing newsletter blurbs with attention-grabbing headlines, compelling description and strong call-to-action for each article presented in daily email newsletters
Create, oversee & analyze A/B tests
Manage the email schedule
Monitor & report on deliverability, open and CTR and identify areas for improvement
In charge of monetization of the newsletters and continually monitor revenue
In charge of growing the email list with creative campaigns
Oversee the Ambassador program and ensure steady growth
SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS
Experience in email marketing best practices
Understanding of email-based outreach and acquisition campaigns; re-engagement and A/B testing email campaigns
Knowledge of html basics
High level of accuracy
Have extremely sharp eye and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Excellent time management skills
Excellent Marketing copywriting skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to work on a tight deadline
Self-motivated, confident, energetic, creative

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in marketing or communications
Minimum 3 years of email marketing experience
Experience writing and editing email marketing content
Basic HTML & CSS knowledge
