We are seeking an experienced, in-house Email Marketing Manager to join our team. We send out a large number of daily emails to more than 12 million weekly subscribers. Our audience spans the globe! They are consumers and small business owners. They act and react. You will be able to contribute right off the bat. That's how fast we move around here.
As an Email Marketing Manager you will be our key person for creating the mailing, coordinating the content, managing the lists and segments, identifying opportunities to optimize each mailing, and scheduling each email. You will work in the Marketing department and collaborate on a daily basis.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with the digital marketing team including graphic design, editorial and web development to create and deliver compelling email communications for various audiences, including newsletters and marketing promotions
Daily monitoring of campaign and delivery performance
Build and oversee daily email newsletter templates, input data and troubleshoot issues during scheduling, send proofs, make edits, and schedule newsletters for daily delivery
Identify opportunities to optimize existing newsletters with new designs, new schedule, new topics as appropriate
Manage the email schedule
Assist the graphic design and web development teams in creating highly responsive and effective newsletter creative
Segment email lists and develop systems for nurture campaigns to various audiences
Constantly be looking at ways to improve the current templates to make them more engaging, have higher open and click-through rates and are individualized to the reader
Work with in-house web developer to build a more user-friendly process for building newsletters and continually improve the process
Help proof newsletter tests and catch mistakes and broken links
Own and administer daily, weekly and monthly calendar of promotional campaigns across newsletters
Manage subscriber database to grow the email list and improve response
Write and optimize newsletter blurbs with attention-grabbing headlines, compelling description and strong call-to-action for each article presented in daily email newsletters
Create, oversee & analyze A/B tests
Measure effectiveness of email marketing campaigns and monitor subscriptions to continually improve ROI from email marketing efforts
Assist in writing and editing content for email distribution

SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS
Experience in email marketing best practices
Understanding of email-based outreach and acquisition campaigns; re-engagement and A/B testing email campaigns
Understanding of CAN-SPAM and email best practices
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines and never miss deadlines
Excellent time management skills
Excellent Marketing copywriting skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills
Self-motivated, confident, energetic, creative

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in marketing or communications
Minimum 5 years of email marketing best practices experience
Experience writing and editing email marketing content
Strong HTML & CSS knowledge
Experience email newsletter design implementation

WestStar Multimedia Entertainment is a national broadcasting company that is home to The Kim Komando Show. The Kim Komando Show for radio is syndicated and broadcast nationally, distributed via satellite to more than 400 top radio stations with 6.5 million weekly listeners.
Kim was the first national female talk host to discuss consumer electronics since 1995. The program originates at WestStar’s at the 24,000 sq. ft. broadcast center in central Phoenix. Over the past 6 years, WestStar has experimented with a television version of this successful radio program.
Beginning January 2019, The Kim Komando Show will be airing on the renowned Bloomberg Television on a custom designed set at WestStar’s production facility.
The program is shot as an 11-camera HD production (recorded with 8 cameras in isolation for precise production/editing). Much of the new program will consist of original content interlaced with some segments of the radio program.
