We are actively recruiting for a reliable Digital Content Coordinator to be part of our amazing digital content and marketing team, who will be our key person for sending daily email newsletters. Our audience spans the globe! They are consumers and small business owners. They act and react. You will be able to contribute right off the bat. That's how fast we move around here. Here's a little bit about us: The Kim Komando Show is the nation's largest talk radio show about everything digital. It broadcasts every weekend on more than 450 radio stations in the U.S. and internationally on the American Forces radio Network. The show also streams live in HD video to paying subscribers and soon, to a national TV audience. Kim's weekly column appears nationally in USA Today, FoxNews and in more than 100 daily newspapers. We have a constantly updated website and send more than 12 million email newsletters each week. We also produce books, consumer buying guides, audio podcasts and videos. You would be right in the middle of it all.
Where else can you apply your digital marketing talents and expand your horizons on a national platform in the Phoenix area? We operate from our state-of-the-art 24,000 sq. foot radio and television broadcast facility in the center of town.
Duties and Responsibilities
This is an entry level position reporting to the Director of Digital Content & Marketing
Prepare weekly template for all email newsletter
Build daily email newsletters based on existing templates, input data and troubleshoot issues during scheduling, send proofs, make edits, and schedule newsletters for daily delivery. (40 or more newsletters/promos weekly.)
Help proof newsletter tests and catch mistakes and broken links
Own and administer monthly calendar of promotional campaigns across newsletters
Find fun and appropriate videos for Kim’s Picks and Must-See-Videos newsletters, including preview screening for profanity and other inappropriate content to ensure it coincides with the Kim Komando brand.
Write and optimize newsletter blurbs with attention-grabbing headlines, compelling description and strong call-to-action for each article and video presented in daily email newsletters
Enter videos into CMS with final approved titles
Schedule videos to go live on site
Other duties as assigned
Skills and Specifications
Knowledge of email marketing
Understanding of email-based outreach and acquisition campaigns; re-engagement and A/B testing email campaigns
Knowledge of html basics a plus
High level of accuracy
Have extremely sharp eye and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Excellent time management skills
Excellent Marketing copywriting skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal
Self-motivated, confident, energetic, creative
Not taking no for an answer
Ability to think outside the box and show initiative
Must be willing to "Do" not "Delegate"
Understanding of SEO content and keyword best practices
This position doesn't have any direct reports
Education and Qualification
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field
