WestStar Multimedia’s paid Intern Program is designed to educate, through a series of meetings, events and projects. Students will learn about aspects of multimedia including podcasts, television, radio webcast and digital content.
Internship assignment: Digital Content and Marketing Intern
Objective: Students will shadow various members of the Digital Marketing and Content Writing team. They will learn about all facets of the digital content world. Students will also learn about the nuances of different digital platforms and how sales are integrated into each process.
Students will learn, and duties will include, but are not limited to:
Writing digital content and marketing copy
Email marketing and newsletters
Assist with development and execution of promotional campaigns
Coordinate monthly contests and yearly giveaway
Manage social media posts
Google Analytics reporting
SEO content and keyword best practices
Social media campaigns
Track campaign performance, prepare performance reports post campaign, and make recommendations
eCommerce and product description copywriting
Video and podcast description writing
Assist with new messaging and design for in-house ads
