Do you have a passion for broadcasting, marketing and account services? Do you like to work on a national scope? This is an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of a national radio, television and podcast network.
In this position, you’ll work closely with current radio affiliate stations and prospective radio affiliate stations, as well as television syndications. You’ll be a critical link between our programs and the stations. You’ll work to understand a station’s needs and objectives and liaise closely with them from contract to broadcast, ensuring their consistent satisfaction with our programming.
You’ll also manage administrative and marketing work related to current and prospective radio affiliates. This includes working with in-house teams, such as editorial, digital marketing and production.
We are seeking a self-starter who is very comfortable building and managing relationships to oversee our affiliates. In addition to extensive client-relationship management experience, the right candidate will also have a strong sales and marketing orientation to expand our affiliate base and find new programming opportunities for the company. The ideal candidate has strong and always-on interpersonal skills, demonstrable written and verbal communication abilities, and experience in the radio industry.
You’ll network with decision makers at stations and networks to clear our syndicated programming in markets through barter agreements, develop effective marketing and sales materials, and provide the best customer service in the business to current and future affiliate stations.

Duties and responsibilities
- Identify opportunities to increase our radio affiliate count
- Assist with implementation of new and existing markets
- Send weekly Affidavits
- Perform an audit on all radio affiliates quarterly
- Prepare and send marketing materials to prospective affiliates
- Conduct phone calls to our radio affiliates to ensure a lasting relationship
- Conduct cold calls to solicit potential new radio affiliates
- Utilize Act 1, our affiliate software to pull reports and update existing radio affiliate information
- Receive and respond to inbound calls and email from radio affiliates
- Develop reports and evaluation metrics for business practices and radio affiliate related projects.
- Prepare a monthly email newsletter to update radio affiliates
- Work with Marketing to promote our radio affiliates in email newsletters, social media and on the radio
- And most important, to sell Kim Komando radio programs to new local radio stations across the country.

- Strong sense of urgency in accomplishing goals
- Familiarity with rating systems
- Experience with Act1 Systems
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in most office software programs and strong attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree
- Radio affiliate programming experience
- Radio, broadcast or media experience
- Minimum 2 years of affiliate management experience
- Strong time management
- Adaptability and accountability
- Act 1 software knowledge preferred but not required (will train)
