Associate Producer

WestStar Multimedia Entertainment is a national broadcasting company that is home to The Kim Komando Show. The Kim Komando Show for radio is syndicated and broadcast nationally, distributed via satellite to more than 400 top radio stations with 6.5 million weekly listeners.

The show also streams live in HD video to paying subscribers and soon, to a national TV audience. Kim Komando's weekly column appears nationally in USA Today, FoxNews and in more than 100 daily newspapers.

Kim was the first national female talk host to discuss consumer electronics since 1995. The program originates at WestStar’s at the 24,000 sq. ft. broadcast center in central Phoenix. Over the past 6 years, WestStar has experimented with a television version of this successful radio program.

The Kim Komando Show is about to premier on Bloomberg Television on a custom designed set at WestStar’s production facility (custom set an created by Chris Runnels. Lighting designed by Justin Garonne, both of Innovative Show Design).

The program is shot as an 11-camera HD production (recorded with 8 cameras in isolation for precise production/editing). Much of the new program will consist of original content interlaced with some segments of the radio program.

We are seeking a part-time Associate Producer with at least three years of solid booking experience on a talk show, court show or reality show. The Associate Producer will be drafting 36 scripts for the weekly show based on pre-selected stories and topics. The scripts must be written in the voice of Kim Komando. The Associate producer will also assist in securing callers for the show.
