"What do you want to eat?" That question has probably started more unnecessary arguments than any other phrase in history! How do you decide where to dine?
Of course, there's Yelp, the conglomerate review site/app. Those curated reviews can help you find the best sushi or tacos in town. But what if you want to know the perfect place for a first date?
The Infatuation app is all about helping you find the perfect spot. It provides recommendations for your specific situation. Whether you're searching for restaurants that would be suitable for dinner with your parents, game day shenanigans or "Girls Night," this app has got it covered.
When you use the "Search" function to find a restaurant, you can narrow results by more than just the Neighborhood it's located in or the style of Cuisine. If you select Perfect for, "Impressing Out of Towners," "Strollers" or "Wasting Time and Money," these are just a few of the funny, yet truthful filters you can apply that will help you find exactly what you're looking for.
Use "Nearby" to find close eateries and "Latest" for the app's most recent reviews. Your "Hit List" keeps track of all the places at which you want to eventually eat. And if you're a food lover like me, then you'll really appreciate the "Guides," which are like eating tours of the city.
Right now, the app only has information for some major cities including New York, London, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., Austin, Denver and Seattle. They are planning to add more. If you don't live in one of these cities, then add The Infatuation to your arsenal of travel apps that you can't leave home without.
Speaking of travel, before you go abroad, read the food guides for Barcelona, Cape Town, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Mexico City, Paris, Rome, Sydney and Tokyo.
Unfortunately, the Infatuation app is only available to Apple users. Click here to download it from the App Store or click the blue button below. If you're an Android user, try their free "Tex Rex" service instead. It allows you to send text messages to members of the Infatuation app staff so that you can receive recommendations that way. You can also follow them on Instagram for daily suggestions.
