We love our data and it's no secret. On average, an American smartphone user eats up about 1.8 gigabytes of non-Wi-Fi data every month.

That's why unlimited data plans have been all the rage of late. However, not everyone has been able to take advantage of them.

There is a good chance that you still have a strict limit on the amount of data you can use every four weeks. Going over your allowed data threshold can mean that you have your data speeds throttled, face irritating fees and even have your data cut off until the billing cycle ends.

If you struggle to keep your data usage under control, don't worry. There is a free app for Android users that can help you with that. (At this time there isn't an Apple version of this app.)

Psst! Click here if you are looking for a similar free app for Apple.

GlassWire makes it easy to keep track of your mobile carrier data usage and Wi-Fi internet activity. Knowing exactly what is eating up your data will help eliminate those annoying overages.

Here are some of GlassWire's features:

  • See a live graph of which apps are currently using your mobile carrier data or internet connection
  • Instantly know every time a new app accesses the network and begins using Wi-Fi or mobile cellular data
  • Go back in time with GlassWire's graph to see which apps used mobile data earlier in the week or month
  • Data alerts can help keep you under your data limit

To start taking control of your data usage today, click on the link we've provided inside the blue box below. The app is free for Android users in the Play Store.
