It seems there's a holiday for everything these days. There are holidays for secretaries and IT professionals, even hot dogs, pizza and pretzels have their own special days. Coloring books are no different.
This week we are celebrating National Coloring Book Day and what better way to celebrate than with the Coloring Book for Me app?
Science has proven that you can relax and reduce stress by coloring and filling in mandalas, flower patterns, animals and all different sorts of designs. Research has shown that it's a great tool to have when feelings are too difficult to put into words.
Another study shows that coloring and art therapy have also been able to decrease emotional and physical distress in those just being diagnosed with cancer and other conditions including PTSD, depression, dementia and anxiety.
With the Coloring Book for Me app, you can help alleviate all of those symptoms for hours just by tapping your fingers. All you need to do is adjust the color wheel to select your color, then tap on the areas you want filled in with that color. Or, if you have an Apple pencil or stylus, you can use that too.
There are hundreds of options to color in, but if those aren't enough, you can go for the paid option and get a subscription, which offers many more designs to color in, with new scenes being added every day. The subscription designs will also be ad-free and will eliminate an image's watermark.
