If you're trying to figure out where you're watching Super Bowl 50 on February 7, and the TV set seems a bit archaic, try live streaming it. There aren't a lot of places to do that, outside of CBS Sports platforms, but there is one unexpected place where you can.
Verizon has an app that's not just for its customers. It's an ad-supported app, meaning anyone can watch streaming content with commercials, just like on TV.
Its Go90 app, which they're gearing toward young people (but anyone can watch it), will live stream Super Bowl 50. So, you can watch the game wherever you are.
But Verizon has been beefing up Go90 since it recently launched. You can watch NBA basketball games, and TV shows such as Comedy Central's "The Daily Show," Food Network's "Chopped," Fox's "New Girl," and many more.
Go90 also has original content, including news from Vice. There's also funny content, like clips packaged into a new format, like "Geekenders" and "Trend Report."
Try Go90. It's free and fun, and right now there's not too much advertising. Verizon is trying to bring on more sponsors, so that may change soon.
