If you have ever sat down to speak with a therapist or psychologist, you know how helpful it can be to talk through a problem. Over time, you can delve deep into issues that have negatively affected your life.
When you sit down, your therapist might guide you through talking about a problem that has haunted you for decades. Or, you may just take one session to chat about a minor setback. Either way, talking about it helps.
Which is where the app 7 Cups of Tea comes in. The site has 70,000 volunteer listeners who you can chat with you anytime.
You can select the type of therapist you want, whether it's a man or a woman, an older or younger person. You can select from licensed therapists or trained listeners.
Each 7 Cups listener has to take a course on active listening and pass an exam. If you're suffering a panic attack, mourning the loss of a loved one, afraid to give a speech, or any other issue, 7 Cups of Tea's listeners may be able to help, including with exercises to relieve your anxiety.
It's free and anonymous. Your listener won't know your identity. All your text conversations are deleted at the end of your chat.
