There's never been a better time for music lovers. With so many options to stream music like Spotify, Apple Music and Pandora, an entire universe of music is readily available to stream for free or at a relatively low cost.
Where these streaming services fall short, however, is that their catalogs are limited to music featured on albums or official releases. And they are limited to just audio.
And that's exactly why the YouTube Music app could change the way we listen to ... or watch ... new music. With the YouTube Music app, you can listen to music and watch music videos, see live performances and discover new artists with ease.
Not only that, but with the YouTube Music app, you can select a song you like and YouTube Music will create a playlist based on your musical interests. But wait, there's even more. With the Settings button, you can explore more music by adding more variety to your music station.
You also have the option to "Like" or "Dislike" a song by pressing the thumbs up/thumbs down symbols at the bottom of the screen, which will further customize your playlists. Songs that are "disliked" will be removed from rotation with the option to immediately "undo" the action, but you have to be quick before it disappears.
The app is free to use, but when you download it, you will be offered a one-month free trial to YouTube Red. After the free trial, fans of the app can subscribe for $13 per month, which will get rid of those annoying ads, and give you the ability to listen to your music offline, as well as the option to strip video and listen to just the audio.
