Running a business is hard enough as it is. And what's even harder is getting the word out about your products and services. Not all business owners are experts in marketing.
Even if you've never taken a marketing class in your life, you can still learn the tricks of the trade. But watch out for those pricey Web seminars and overpriced "coaches." You don't need them.
Why not learn a few marketing strategies from one of the leading, most well-known companies in existence? We're talking about Google. The Internet giant wants to share tips, and has created an app called Primer to do just that.
With Primer, users can log in and take a quick tutorial whenever they have a few minutes on hand. The content focuses mostly on digital marketing, and has several interactive activities built in. Beyond that, the app generates personalized "next steps" that you can save within your profile, then put to the test in real life.
As for the lessons, they're designed for professionals of all levels. Complex topics are made simple, however, they're not dumbed down. They also include case studies, quizzes and descriptive examples to help you absorb the material as you go along. The case studies are even said to be funny, depending on your sense of humor.
Primer is a free download for both Apple and Android users. It's designed primarily for small businesses and startups looking to get the word out. Click the blue buttons below for the download.
