Can you believe that our beloved Pac-Man is 35 years old? Since debuting in 1980, Pac-Man, Mrs. Pac-Man and even the ghosts (Pinky, Blinky, Inky and Clyde) have sealed their status as cultural icons. They've been named to the Guinness Book of World Records as "The World's Most Successful Coin Operated Game," starred in their own cartoon, and have even been honored as a Google Doodle and then again by Google Maps.
So it should come as no surprise that one of the app store's most popular games as of late is Pac-Man 256 - Endless Arcade Maze. Inspired by the infamous glitch in maze 256 of the original game, this new Pac-Man app has one endless maze to navigate, new power-ups and even new group of ghosts: Sue, Funky and Spunky.
To get started, head to the iTunes or Google Play store and download. Once downloaded, simply tap the play button. From here, it's a race to get up the maze before the glitch catches you. And you have to avoid the ghosts and collect fruit while you do it. Collect power-ups and get the highest score possible so you can get continuances if you lose a life.
What will your high score be?
