Get a mover and be a mover using your own truck

Get a mover and be a mover using your own truck

Soon, I bet we'll be able to order just about any service right from an app. You can already order food, a cab and even dry cleaning right from your gadget. Now, a San Francisco startup is adding another helpful service to that list: moving and hauling. Whether a user just buys a couch on Craigslist or is moving an entire apartment full of belongings, they can now order on-demand movers with ease.

Do you own a truck? This app could also be a good way to make money, too. Just download the app and switch it to Mover mode under the settings menu to apply. Even if you don't have your own truck, there's still a way to make money with this app if you are willing to lend some muscle power. Just select the rider option to ride along with the truck owner and help out with the loading and unloading.

This app's also great if you need to move big over-sized stuff that won't fit in your vehicle. Just this weekend at a discount store, I walked past some folks trying to shove a huge flat screen TV into the back of a small SUV. As a full two feet of the TV's box hung out over the bumper, I heard one ask the other, "Know anyone with a truck?" This app could be perfect for situations like this.

This startup is still new, so services are limited for now. For instance, it only serves customers in the San Francisco Bay area for the time being. But, I could see a service like this really taking off and expanding in the future like Lyft connecting truck owners to users with over-sized hauling needs. Only time will tell.
