A simple way to save hundreds when shopping online
Q. I really like shopping online, but it doesn't seem to be saving me any money like everyone says it will. It seems like I can actually save more by shopping at brick-and-mortar stores and using coupons. Is there something I'm missing, Kim? Thanks in advance for everything you do. -Richard, from Massena, NY, listens to my national radio show onWYBG 1050 AM.
A. If you're not shopping the right way online, your savings probably won't be amazing, Richard. Since you like to use coupons, I've got a special money-saving treat for you. You can actually use coupons when shopping online just like you would in the real world!
In the digital world, they're called coupon codes or promo codes. These unlock all sorts of special deals, such as instant savings on one item, a percentage off of your entire purchase or even free shipping. Many of these deals are exclusive to online shopping and save you big bucks.
The best part is you don't need scissors to clip them. They're usually sent to loyal customers of the store. For example, if you're signed up for my Insider newsletter, you get coupon codes you can use in my store all of the time.
