We're hearing from a growing number of folks that want to cut the cord and reduce their big cable bills. Fortunately, this is getting easier every day. One of the strengths of cutting the cord is the range of options you have for making it happen. Of course, that can also be a weakness if you aren't sure where to start.

One options you should always consider first is an indoor HD antenna. This gives you access to free HD network broadcasts for local news, sports, primetime shows and more. Click here to see our recommendation for a good HD antenna.

Free is good, but at some point to get the shows you want, you'll probably end up paying for a streaming video service like Netflix or Hulu. The upside is that, individually, these services cost almost nothing compared to cable, ranging from $7 to $12 a month.

The downside is that if you end up paying for a handful of streaming services, you won't really save that much compared to what you may already be paying for cable. So, you usually want to stick with just one or two streaming services.

Naturally, each service has its own pros and cons. Let's find out which one is going to be right for you.
