Before you buy the latest and greatest, though, you might think about waiting just a little bit longer. There's always a great new smartphone around the corner that has features you might want.

Or there might be a game-changing phone coming in a year. So you might buy a cheap phone now and save up for an early upgrade.

Amazon will officially reveal its first attempt at a smartphone on June 18th. If it follows its usual pattern, the phone should be available for pre-order immediately and ship a few weeks after.
