We like to listen to audio books on the MP3 player. Is there a MP3 player on the market that will allow you to book mark your place when you turn it off? Then when you turn it back on, it will start at the book mark point. With our player, you have to hold down the fast forward button until you finally get back to the original stopping point. I think that I found one on Kim's site back several months ago, but I lost it and cannot find it again.

After searching Google I found a few articles on MP3 players with bookmarking capability.
Here is another for you too.

I have an inexpensive player from Best Buy, it's Insignia brand, that will remember where I've left off of a book even though I've listened to music in the interim. I think it's a feature that is poorly documented on a lot of players. I've found that generally if it mentions audio books in the specs it will remember where you left off. One caveat, sometimes if you plug it in to the comp to recharge via the usb it will reset things. On mine it doesn't affect audiobooks but it does podcasts.

I listen to audiobooks all the time. I have a Creative Zen, which has excellent bookmarks. I also have a Sansa clip--make sure you load the books into audiobooks for the bookmarking to work. There is also a TON of information on audiobooks and MP3 players geared for this at:
