Congrats to Pmom on her advanced status and to Mr. Bill and to the king XHI for his surpassing 12,000 posts.

I am so sorry Pharmacymom to hear your husband is in the hospital just remember The Good Lord. The doctors told me I have Lymphedema for which there is no cure at all. so cheerful to know that diagnosis.

It is extremely hard to find any doctor that even knows how to treat Lymphedema and they say the training is very expensive too.

Pharmacymom there is a website for people that are disabled in any way and they have shoes and other clothes for men and women and you may be interested in their website. www.buckandbuck.com

He's been home for a while now and is doing lots better. Sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Ray suffers from the same thing from time to time, mostly in the legs. He wears compression wraps when that happens. He also suffers from occassional cellulitis (which is a side illness of your disease. If you get redness with the swelling and the skin feels hot, make sure that you seek medical attention as you could have cellulitis. It does need antibiotics to treat, and compression wraps. Funny, Raymond also suffers from this since he was burned in 2005. He has had several painful bouts of cellulitis as a result. Combined with his burn scars, the cellulitis can be so painful. So having first hand knowledge so to speak, I truly can sympathize with you. Have you seen this website?

And this one?

Where Ray got the most help from professionals was the Wound Care Clinic he went to for a while. Raymond got help from his burn surgeon.

Dustin, I concur with your opinion about Lymphedema. Our medical system is falling behind other countries. It's been around forever, so you'd think we'd have trained Doctors to treat it, along with drugs to treat it. I know a few people with it, and it's no fun.
