Yes, yes...I know this has been asked in the past but I could not seem to locate any of those posts.
when I receive an email in Thunderbird (ver 2.0.0.23) I have no problem seeing whatever photos, pictures, clipart or whatever. However, when I go to forward the email the pictures do not show up. I tend to email to myself at a different address and using a different mail client (outlook express and Eudora).
So the question I have is how the heck do I set it up so that the clipart and/or photos actually get forwarded? I have checked all the settings and they seem to be correct but I must be missing something! Thanks! |

The problem appears to be the person sending the pics is using an email client that does not store the pics after the original email is sent, thereby preventing you from forwarding the pics inside the forwarded email (this is speculation on my part because I have no clue what the real reason is ). What I've been doing is saving the pics on my machine, then reconstructing the email and sending it. I know, that's a lot of work, so I only do it for exceptional pics.

The problem can also occur if you have cleaned out temporary files, where most attachments are kept before you got to forward the email. Xhi The Computer Whisperer Never start vast projects with half-vast ideas |

That's not the case using my Yahoo account. I've immediately forwarded emails as soon as I received them and the pics did not forward. And I also have received forwarded emails, in both my web account and my ISP account, and no pics were in the mail.

Hmmm....some excellent replies - I think!
Yes Billmellon it happens when I immediately try to forward.
Guess I'll just blame it on the person sending them and if they are really worth the work will just save and reconstruct the email as suggested. Doubt that many will be really that exceptional though.
Thanks! |
