The media does not ask the candidate any pertinent questions... The candidate campaigns door to door in a neighborhood and an ordinary American asks the candidate a question...and not because of the ordinary Americans question but because of the candidates answer...This happens...

Yet again from the party notorious for wanting larger more intrusive government. Renae,we have a similar investigation in my state regarding the use of the state police to investigate people that protest such things as the death penalty, or promote such things as a cleaner environment. The people in my state were placed on a state watch list and the federal terrorist watch list. When it was discovered by the ACLU, and investigated, the targeted people could view their records before they were destroyed, but could not bring anyone, such as an attorney, with them. But their reputations were forever tarnished by the state police investigation which by some were termed illegal and a violation of the people's involved constitutional rights. Vote smartly on election day or we may move closer and closer to becoming more of a police state type government.

Not to sound like I'm omniscient, I'm not... but I saw this one coming a mile away. 17 years away to be exact. In 1991, still in college I said then we already had that type of government, however it was not well known and few people knew about it. The Illinois state government as well as it's state owned schools and universities always had the power, if not the authority to do what ever it please if it was in best interest of the state. And don't think that the State of Illinois will not protect itself with out a fight. Even if your intentions were for good, you were subject to investigation or even jail. Long story short, a riot that broke out on campus between the police departments, 4 to be exact, and the university students lead to several arrests including the arrest of the very person that helped the police. Why were these people arrested? Well, the University Police Sergent screwed up. He told students to leave a University owned park that was not even closed yet. The students refused to leave. 30 minutes latter The NIU (University) Police, DeKalb City Police, DeKalb County Sheriff and Sycamore Police formed a police line across the park that caused the riot to get out of hand. A student who was not even involved in the riot approached DeKalb City Police and asked to borrow their PA system on one of there police units in order to try and convenes the students to leave. His efforts failed. Latter that night while he slept, University Police stormed his room and found alcohol in his possession and he was arrested for under aged possession. By order of the University Administration, several pictures were confiscated from the art/photo department and cans of beer was composited in many students hands to make the police attack look legit which led to several more arrests. That was in 1986.
In 1991 after the first Gulf war broke out, I said several times that the war was not about oil. The US has its own oil, but was to lazy to drill for it. I even knew were the oil was. Everyone thought I was crazy. "Why do you think we buy or oil from foreign countries?" every one I told kept asking me. They were convinced the US had no oil of its own and that's why the war. Yet here we are 17 years letter and what are all the candidates talking about? We need to drill, drill, drill! And where do they want to drill? In Iraq? No! In Kuwait? No! In Venezuela? No! Right here in the good old U.S. of A. that's were! And if they had of got off there lazy butts 17 years ago and started drilling then, we probably would not be in this mess today. Begging for oil from foreign countries and being at the mercy of OPEC who got us dancing like puppets on a string. Dance puppets. DANCE! Yes, I saw it coming, but no one would listen to me. The time for drilling has come and gone my friends. I have to agree with T. Boone Pickens http://www.pickensplan.com/index.php . We need to look into alternative sources if we are to survive. |
