Paper crafts are tons of fun. Everyone has done some sort of origami. But your kids can do a lot more with paper than you think. How about building a three-dimensional model of the Sydney Opera House? It’s possible.
An engineering degree isn’t required. You print out the pieces and instructions. Then you and your kids can put it all together.
This is an activity you’ll need to supervise. Many projects require cutting, scoring and gluing. You may want to handle the sharp and messy parts.
Simple projects
The place to start is HP’s Activity Center. You’ll find simple templates for greeting cards. Your children can even add photos to some cards. You can also print out everything they’ll need to start scrapbooking.
You can also get into some more advanced paper projects. Your kids can build model cars and animals. It’s best to print these projects on thicker paper, like photo paper. It’s much easier to work with.
You’ll also find entire party kits. From invitations to goody bags to toys, your kids can build them all. They’ll just need paper, scissors and glue.
