Here's the first thermostat you can control using Siri
Apple

"Siri, 78 degrees." Almost a year after Apple debuted HomeKit as a part of iOS 8, you can finally control a thermostat using nothing but the Siri virtual assistant on your Apple gadgets.

Click here to learn more about HomeKit.

You can now buy the Ecobee3 at an Apple Store near you. It's a pretty standard smart thermostat that can tell if anyone is home and adjust your home temperature automatically. And, of course, it works with Siri.

A separate version of the Ecobee3 is already on sale, but this new version adds HomeKit support, which means it can be controlled by Siri.

The Ecobee3 will cost you $249. If you want to add more coverage in your home, you'll have to purchase a pack of two additional sensors for $79.
