Do you use Facebook Messenger? It used to be so convenient. You could send and receive messages and have chats with your friends and family, all from within the Facebook app.

Well, those days are over as Facebook tries to further improve its users' experience.

Facebook decided to kill Messenger from the Facebook app and force its users who want to use the service to download the separate app, Messenger.

While having two Facebook apps might seem like a major inconvenience, the Messenger app may have tons of new great features in the future and will likely help the Facebook app to run smoother.

The changes will start in a few European countries in two weeks. A Facebook spokesperson said that the changes will roll out to every country in the near future.

However, there are some exceptions to the rule. Older Android phones with memory issues and Windows Phone and tablet users will still be able to send messages from within the Facebook app.
