I've already told you that some Android gadgets are vulnerable to the Heartbleed bug - click here for the details. But does that include yours?

Now you can find out in seconds with the Heartbleed Detector app from Lookout Mobile Security. It clearly tells you if you have a vulnerable version of OpenSSL and if it's active.

If you are vulnerable, you'll need to wait for Google or your phone's manufacturer to provide an update as a permanent fix.

Also, the Heartbleed Detector doesn't scan third-party apps, so some of those might still be vulnerable. An example is BlackBerry's BBM app - more on that here.

Keep checking my blog for reports on vulnerable apps as I find them.
