Q. What is Kim's Club? What makes it so special?

A. Kim's Club is your exclusive access to everything on Komando.com! Missed this week's show? Download the podcast and enjoy it commercial-free. Need some extra help with a computer problem? Post your question on the message board for others to help you. You can even comment on tips and cool sites and other things. You will have access to all materials on Komando.com.

Q. How do I become a Kim's Club member?

A. Select among our various subscriptions on the Kim's Club page. A valid Visa or MasterCard is required.

Q. What membership options are available?

A. You may join for thrity (30) days, three (3) months, six (6) months or oen (1) year. You may also give someone special a one-year membership!

Q. I received my Club subscription email. How do I start my Kim's Club membership?

A. Welcome to Kim’s Club! After purchasing a Kim's Club membership and receiving your membership instructions email (sent instantly, though sometimes delayed a bit by some mail systems) you are instantly able to get started!

Just follow the instructions included in the email. Go to the Kim's Club Sign-in page, enter your email address and password, choose a "screen name" (if it's your first visit) and away you go!

Q. I have my account and profile set up. How do I log into my Kim's Club account?

A. A Kim's Club Sign In button is at the top right corner of Komando.com. Click that button and enter your email address and Kim's Club password.

Q. When does my Kim's Club membership officially begin?

A. Your Kim's Club membership term begins on the date you buy your subscription. You will receive a subscription email with setup information after the purchase. Use that information to set up your account and profile. If you do not receive your subscription email, please contact us.

Q. I'm having problems accessing a page on the website. What do I do?

A. If you're seeing a 404 "Oops!" page, it's usually a problem with cookies.

Here's what we recommend:

1) Sign out of Kim's Club (if applicable)

2) Delete your browser's cookies and temporary Internet files


In Firefox:
  • Click Tools>>Clear Recent History
  • Time range to clear: select "Everything"
  • Click the Details arrow, and check the boxes to select all options
  • Click Clear Now
In IE 9:
  • Press the Alt key on the keyboard
  • Click Tools>>Delete Browsing History
  • Ensure that "Temporary Internet Files" and "Cookies" are checked
  • Click the Delete button
In IE 8:
  • Click Tools>>Internet Options
  • Under Browsing History, click Delete Files
  • Click Delete Files>>Yes
  • Click Delete Cookies>>Yes
In IE 7 or less (not recommended due to security problems; upgrade to IE 8 or higher):
  • Click Tools>>Internet Options
  • Under Browsing History, click Delete Files
  • Click Delete Files>>Yes
  • Click Delete Cookies>>Yes

3) Close your browser. Reboot.

Note: Some people have "cookie blockers" that may be part of the issue. If you're still having the "Oops" page appear after taking the steps above, you may want to temporarily disable your cookie blocking program. If this solves the problem, you need to make adjustments to the settings in the cookie blocking program.

Q. Why is the gift subscription emailed to me instead of the recipient?

A. You can include the subscription in a card, letter, wrapped box or whatever method you would like to use to present the gift.

Q. How do I change my credit card?

A. To change your credit card that is associated with your Kim's Club subscription:

Log into your account at The Store: My Account. Here you can update any billing information, including credit card, address change or a new email address.

Q. I will be going on vacation. Can I place my membership on hold until I return?

A. No. Your Kim's Club membership cannot be interrupted.

Q. I have forgotten my login information to Kim's Club. How can I access my account?

A. You can retrieve your password automatically by email.

Supply the email address you used to subscribe to Kim's Club. The password will be emailed to you.

Q. I have changed my email address. How can I update my Kim's Club account?

A. You can make this change by logging into your Kim's Club account using your subscribed email address and password.

Click on the My Information link under MY ACCOUNT. Then, click on EDIT next to email Address. Your subscribed email address should be populated. If not, type that in as well as your new email address and confirm it. Finally, click the Save Changes button and you're done!

Q. I'm a Kim's Club member. How do I change the email address for my newsletters?

A. Log into your Kim's Club account and click on Newsletter Preferences. Uncheck the newsletters you do not want going to your subscribed Kim's Club email address. Click SAVE CHANGES. Sign out of your Kim's Club account.

Click on Free Newsletters and check the newsletters you want to receive at the other email address. Type the email address in Step 2 and click SUBSCRIBE. You will receive a confirmation email at that address. Click the link in the email to confirm your subscriptions.

Q. How do I view newsletters in a larger font?

A. In the upper right corner of the Newsletter, click the "View this email as a webpage" link. An HTML version of the newsletter will open in your default Web browser.

In most browsers you can press CTRL + + (the plus key) to increase the font size. CTRL + - (the minus key) decreases the font size and CTRL + 0 (zero) returns it to normal.

You can also hold down the CTRL key and scroll using the scroll wheel on your mouse to increase or decrease the font size.

Q. How can I change my screen name?

A. Log into your Kim's Club account. Click on the My Information link under MY ACCOUNT. Then, click on EDIT next to Screen name. Your current screen name should be populated. If not, type that in, as well as your new screen name, and confirm it.

Finally, click the Save Changes button and you're done!

Q. How do I change my Kim's Club password?

A. Log into your Kim's Club account. Click on the My Information link under MY ACCOUNT. Then, click on EDIT next to Password. Type in your current password, then type your new password and confirm it. Finally, click the Save Changes button.

Q. I have moved and my billing address is now different. How do I change it on my account?

A. Log into your Kim's Club account. Click on the Billing Address link under MY ACCOUNT. Type in your new billing address and click the Save Changes button.

Q. I have a dial-up connection. Can I still use Kim's Club?

A. Yes! A dial-up connection will give you longer download times for Kim's podcasts or other downloads. Otherwise, there is no difference in your membership.

Q. Where can I access all that my Kim's Club membership gives me?

A. Click on any box under ACCESS YOUR PREMIUM CONTENT on your account page. Also, as you browse Komando.com, you will be able to access anything marked with a red key symbol.

Q. How do I log out?

A. Your screen name will appear at the top right corner on Komando.com when you are logged into your account. Click the link next to it to sign out.


Q. How do I renew my Kim's Club membership?

A. Click the Kim's Club Sign In button at the top of Komando.com. Click on the Renew link under MY ACCOUNT on your account page. It is not necessary to renew for the same subscription term.
