There are a handful of sites that you visit every day. You check the news, your e-mail and maybe a few blogs. Perhaps you refer to an online calendar. What if you didn’t have to open a browser to access them?
What if useful Web sites simply sat on your desktop? Well, that would take up a lot of space. But really, you only need portions of those sites. It would be handy if you could cut out those portions. Those would fit on your desktop.
Snippage does just that. It’s actually a small Adobe Air browser. Use it to navigate to the site you want. Then drag and resize the Snippage box over what you want. Push the Shrink button and position it on your desktop.
Cut out a “top stories of the day” list from a news site. Grab your Webmail inbox. Or just stick the Google search bar on your desktop. All remain fully functional. You decide how often these widgets refresh. Links will open in a new browser window.
